Frequently asked questions

What to know before we open.

These answers reflect current plans. Confirmed hours, menus, vendor lineup, reservations, and final guest policies will be added as opening approaches.

What is a food hall, and how will the seven kitchens work?

A food hall brings several places to eat together under one roof. At Gather 242, seven kitchens will each serve a distinct cuisine and menu under the direction of its own operator. Guests can order from different kitchens and still sit together in the shared dining areas.

When will Gather 242 open?

The current target is Spring 2027. Construction, inspections, licensing, and opening readiness can affect timing. Confirmed milestones will be shared through opening updates and @thegather242 on Instagram.

Where can I park?

Downtown Bradenton has public garages, lots, and street parking. A final guest parking guide will be published before opening. Use the City of Bradenton parking map for the latest public options and posted rules.

Can I arrive by public transit or on foot?

Yes. Gather 242 is in the downtown walking district. The Downtown Bradenton Transit Station is at 601 13th Street West and serves multiple Manatee County Area Transit routes. Check current schedules before traveling.

Will the building and rooftop be accessible?

Gather 242 is being planned for accessible entry and movement through public guest areas, including rooftop access. Final elevator, restroom, seating, drop-off, and accommodation details will be published before opening. Guests may contact the team for a specific access need.

Are families and children welcome?

Yes. Gather 242 is planned as a community destination for all ages. Adults remain responsible for children in shared areas. Final rooftop, evening, and event policies will be posted before opening.

How will dietary needs and allergens be handled?

Each kitchen will identify its menu and available dietary choices. Because kitchens and common areas may share equipment or ingredients, cross-contact may be possible. Guests with allergies should speak directly with the serving kitchen before ordering.

Will I need a reservation?

The shared food hall is planned primarily for walk-in dining. Private dining rooms and certain events will use reservations once booking opens. Rooftop and large-party policies will be confirmed closer to opening.

How will the self-pour tap experience work?

Alcohol service will be limited to guests age 21 or older with valid photo identification and will be supervised by trained staff. Final activation, serving-limit, payment, and responsible-service procedures will be published before opening.

When can I book a private event?

Event inquiries are open now so the team can understand future needs. Booking dates, packages, capacity, and pricing will be released after construction and operating plans are far enough along to make firm commitments.

Are the renderings final?

No. Architectural renderings show the current design direction and are subject to change as construction, engineering, permitting, furnishings, and operating plans are finalized.
